Resumo
It is with great satisfaction that we deliver to our beloved audience the partial publication
of the first issue of volume 2 of William Morris Davis - Journal of Geomorphology. This partial
edition has three research articles, one article in the "Classics of Geomorphology" section, and
four geomorphological photos. These materials are of the highest quality. We hope you like it
too! In July we will have new articles added, to close this volume 2, number 1, of 2021 with a
flourish.
We who do William Morris Davis can only thank the receptivity, attention and
participation of Brazilian geomorphologists and other countries in the articulation and
maintenance of this project / dream, which is to offer another channel for the dissemination of
national and international geomorphological production, to help give vent to the different
geomorphological discourses that involve us. In less than a year, we have the ISSN registration,
DOI for articles and editions, and three indexers, one national and two international. We intend
to grow together with you, so that we can celebrate other positive gains in the future.
In this way, we invite our dear readers to appreciate this partial issue, taking advantage of
themes ranging from Acre to Ceará, passing through Minas Gerais. The classics sector could not
bring a better text, which deals with crucial problems for Geomorphology, such as temporal and
spatial scale. The photos instigate the senses and ideas, and make a perfect complement to this
publication.
In this difficult time that we are going through in national life, with political and public
health difficulties of the greatest severity, in the face of the problems of the Coronavirus
pandemic, we consider it a victory to be able to proceed with this project of scientific
dissemination, and we hope to be positively contributing to the improvement of science in Brazil.
Thank you all for your support!
